We are very pleased to announce that we will be present at this stunning evening of elegant plant-based food, with a menu led by Chef Brian Luptak of The Acorn. 

Our chef and founder, Karen McAthy, former executive chef of Graze Vegetarian, and author of The Art of Plant-based Cheesemaking, will present a Blue Heron cheese board featuring some of our specialty cheeses, and preserves made from hand foraged items such as rosehips, wild hops and berries. Karen will speak briefly about the inspiration and what's next for Blue Heron, Vegan Cheesemaking as an evolving practice, and her book.

The Acorn has made a name for itself as a Canadian leader in vegetarian cuisine. Catherine Roscoe Barr, BSc Neuroscience, is founder of The Life Delicious, a global wellness coaching practice with luxury retreats and private clients worldwide. Catherine is a certified personal trainer, fitness instructor and coach practitioner, and writes about fitness, food and travel for numerous publications including Montecristo, Canadian Living, WestJet Magazine, BC Business and BC Living. Before settling on the West Coast she lived in Sydney, Toronto, Oregon, Montana, and practically everywhere in Alberta. She can be found jogging with her adorable dog, dining with her fabulous husband or voraciously reading anywhere comfy.
